Summit54, sponsor of Summer Advantage, a FREE five-week academic and life enrichment program in partnership with participating school districts. RFSD has been our primary partner since 2012. This summer's dates are June 17 - July 19, 2024. Over 12 years, our pre-and post-assessments document a 2.5 to 4-month average gain in students' reading and math scores. Our program begins with breakfast in the classroom, followed by two hours of reading and one hour of math with two educators in each classroom (1/11 ratio of educator to student). Scholars then enjoy a hot healthy lunch, fun outdoor active recess, and two afternoon enrichment programs such as art, dance, music, science, ecology, M-Th. FunFridays feature guest speakers and field trips to recreational, historic, and cultural attractions. Scholars also visit a CMC campus as well as participate in a student-led community service project. Parents are invited to a graduation ceremony and luncheon.
