Description:

Connect! is a social, emotional, and ethical after school learning program for elementary age children, meeting at Aspen Elementary School

The curriculum extends over a three year period. Each year, there are three 5-week sessions offered; children attend either Tuesday or Thursday. During this time, children explore the following themes:
Exploring Kindness
Building Resiliency
Strengthening Attention and Self-Awareness
Navigating Emotions
Learning About and From One Another
Compassion for Self and Others
We Are All In this Together
Building a Better World

Children learn skills/practices to cultivate inner strength and resiliency while connecting with the world.

Connect to Oneself– experience the art of self awareness/self reflection
Connect to Others – discover new perspectives and build healthy relationships
Connect to the World – appreciate interdependence, recognize common humanity, and participate in community and global engagement
